When designing and developing the concept for a spacious multimedia exhibition object for a total of 15 scientific departments at the Senckenberg location in Görlitz, the interactive opening of the Research Museum was the primary task and objective.
The resulting creative look behind the scenes lets researchers share their scientific results and allows others to experience them. Thanks to the well-structured contents and thoughtful presentation of individual topics, visitors can explore the application on their own. Alternatively, there is a hosted mode for guided tours focused on fascinating glimpses of the 15 featured sections and their themes. All research contents are available as image stacks, videos, or 3D objects and easily editable through a central content management system.
Beyond the application’s design and development, m box also took care of staging the production in space – from concept development, design, and realisation to the wall design and installation of the multimedia exhibit.
The multimedia exhibit was created as part of a joint project managed and coordinated by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation (Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz) museum4punkt0. This project is funded by the Federal Commissioner for Cultural and Media Affairs according to a resolution by the German Federal Parliament.
