At this year’s HMI trade fair, sensor manufacturer Pepperl and Fuchs unveiled an exceptional highlight exhibit. Equipped with 6 synchronised and motorised P + F laser scanners, the exhibit recreated a real-time 3D point cloud of the trade fair visitors.
m box processed this scanner data to stage an interactive, cinematic point cloud across 3 display posts. m box also provided a print-out of the digital avatars for a personalised trade fair magazine and programmed the tablet controls for the user capture and scanner controls. For the SPS 2018 the exhibit was expanded by an AR app to take away their digital Mini Me at home.
